We provide advanced orthopedic procedures for musculoskeletal tumors, including Soft Tissue and Bone Sarcomas and Metaststatic Bone Disease, as well as benign bone and soft tissue growths. Some of the cancers that we treat most often are osteosarcoma, Ewing’s sarcoma, chondrosarcoma, and soft tissue sarcomas, which require comprehensive, multidisciplinary care, including surgical treatment from an expert with specialized oncologic training, like Dr. Allison.

Oncology Surgery: Complex Joint Reconstruction
Degeneration (“wear and tear”), inflammatory rheumatologic conditions (like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, or lupus), fractures around the joint (acutely or chronically), avascular necrosis (bone death), congenital deformities, infection, bleeding disorders, neuropathic conditions, and metabolic disorders can all cause joint destruction with associated severe pain and disability.
Hip, knee, and shoulder replacement can offer an excellent solution to these difficult problems, but these procedures require an expert with extensive reconstruction experience, especially in complex cases with extensive bone loss and deformity. Prior joint replacements can fail from loosening (loss of fixation in the bone), fracture around the implant (periprosthetic fracture), scarring of the soft tissues (arthrofibrosis), malalignment,
infection, and implant wear or fatigue. Dr. Allison has extensive training and expertise in the reconstruction of complex primary joint conditions and revision joint replacement that allows him to handle any joint replacement scenario.
